“To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)”
– Pete Seeger
Dear readers,
The time has come for me to write my very last notion. It is in the form of this letter to you.
Like all of us experiencing the pandemic, I’ve had my attention lately on change. Oh, how we humans resist it! Even though change is always occurring. Life itself is change upon change upon change.
The centuries-old passage that Pete Seeger formed into lyrics is one that acknowledges change along the wheel of time. I’m reminded of being told as a child, as one of four kids, to “take turns”. And so we must do that for everything in life. Planting must have its turn. Crying must have its turn. Celebrating must have its turn. A beginning must have its turn. And so must an ending.
After eight years of contributing to the Bacana blog, it is time for me to move on. Thank you for pondering my offerings over these many years.
Wishing all of you a Happy & Healthy & Hopeful 2021!
Liz
