At the end of summer, when I was a kid, I’d keep my eye on the Sunday newspaper. It had ads for great sales on school supplies. I’d coax my dad, the errand runner in our family, to take me to the store so that I could prepare for the new school year. I’d get matching folders and notebooks (green for science class, blue for social studies, yellow for English, red for math) and pristine crayons and pens. It was glorious.
I’m a few decades away from a traditional school situation, but September still gives me that “back to school” vibe. I may need some fresh notebooks to get me through the month.
Are you also a sucker for new beginnings?
