“I am a part of everything that I have read.”
– Theodore Roosevelt
Well said, Teddy. I suppose the same applies to the reverse, that everything I have read is also a part of me. I rather like that idea. There are an unlimited number of books and stories floating around this earth, with new ones being written this very minute. But those that I’ve ingested with my own noggin and heart are a part of me, and I am a part of them too, so says a former President of these United States.
I have been reading and becoming a part of Alice Walker’s In Search of Our Mothers’ Gardens. What about you?
