“A lack of clarity is often the biggest obstacle to your productivity.”
– Marie Forleo
You have an idea, a dream, a goal, a way you want to feel. How do you get there? What are the action steps you take to make that thing happen?
Dreaming and brainstorming and shaping larger ideas are all fantastic things. I love them myself. But to achieve real clarity on any one pursuit, you have to do 2 things:
(1) Bring the idea itself into focus. Be clear with yourself about what exactly you want to achieve. What is your end goal?
(2) Break that idea / goal into incremental action steps — steps that are do-able, not overwhelming, and let you do nothing more than put one foot in front of the other.
If you need help, ask for it. Ask a colleague, a friend, or us! The idea is to take your, ahem, idea and break it into digestible, actionable steps to make it real.
Once you have that, you have clarity on many levels. With that biggest obstacle gone, all that’s left then is to start with the first step on the list and do it.
So where do you need clarity? Let us know in the comments below.
