Here’s the thing. I’m a platypus person. Always have been, always will be. I don’t do favorites, but the platypus is my favorite animal hands down.
But there’s lots of love to go around, and I’d like to share a bit with another member of the monotremes, the echidna. Specifically echidna feet. Yeah, I’m getting niche here.
The echidna’s front feet point forward. Nothing shocking there. But, and this is the fun part, their 2 back feet point backward.
The combo of forward and backward facing apparently gives them the ability to dig straight down, like directly straight down. No mussing about. Just drilling exactly where they want to go.
Forward & backward are both essential parts of getting directly to the destination. Kinda sounds like life.
