“Grant me the serenity to not read the comments, the courage to not read the comments, and the wisdom to not read the comments.”
– Aparna Nancherla on Twitter
Part of living in this modern world of connectivity & communication is being inundated by the opinions of others. Sometimes those “others” are acquaintances, but, most of the time, they are anonymous strangers. And our reactions to those opinions can really run the gamut. I, myself, have been gobsmacked, offended, angered, delighted, entertained, alarmed, and deeply concerned by various opinions floating around the World Wide Web. Discerning what is and what is not my business (to read & absorb) has become an art form.
If you’ve read this far into the notion, my opinion must matter to you. So, thanks.
